RA Patterson created the brand LUCKY STRIKE，At that that time ,he mainly sold Cavendish and chewing tobacoo and then was the cigarette.1903. RA Patterson soldLucky Strike to WT Blackwell & Company of Durham。 1905. The American Tobacco Company obtained the operation rights. 1909. American Tobacco Company amalgamate Lucky Strike with another brand cigarette:Buckingham called HALF & HALF，so the logo Half & Half and Lucky Strike were appeared on the box at the same time.1917〝It’s Toasted〞was the ad .generally the process of making tobacco dry was from longterm sun expore,but Lucky Strike choosed to toaste then it got the special flavour from others.。After removed the name of R.A. Patterson，the green package of Lucky Strike sold till 1940。 1939. American Tobacco Company removed Half & Half from Lucky Strike。 1942. they changed the green package into white。and famoused for the ad〝Lucky Strike Green has gone to war〞，The comany said because the copper were in need of in the World War Two，so the colour was changed ，It seems that the patriotism spirit had went into the brand.1944. 〝LS/MFT〞(〝Lucky Strike means fine tobacco〞) was printed on the box as the ad.this ad has accepted by customers and we can still see it on the Lucky Strike packet。
